In February 2023, Metafields Guru shipped a browser extension rebuilt from scratch - none of the previous generation's code carried over. Yep, the old one was great, but perfection knows no limits. And that's why we created a new browser extension from scratch. We used literally 0% of the code from the previous generation, so it's not an exaggeration. It's nearly impossible to list all the changes in this announcement, but we guarantee it will enhance your Metafields Guru experience. Let's have a brief overview of the most notable ones, though.

  1. New resources supported, such as product variants, pages, blogs, and posts.
  2. Select the preferred view mode. The editor can be embedded directly in your Shopify admin panel or presented as a floating collapsible block. For even greater configurability, you can reorder the navigation tabs as you wish.
  3. We added support for the "list" metafield types. Speaking of which, we've also modernized the editor for all supported metafield types. And, of course, added tons of performance and usability upgrades. Also, it looks and feels better :)
